💡 Achieving More Equitable Assistance
Do we sometimes hinder disaster assistance, by being too regimented? Smaller, rural, and lower-income communities face challenges in accessing federal funding for hazard mitigation and climate change adaptation. Many of the communities lack the resources and expertise to develop competitive grant proposals. This puts them at a disadvantage, that’s why we need to address these disparities and ensure equitable access to funding.
